At School

My school orchestra, Dream and Love, was practicing in the music room, and Ms. Brown was stepping her foot to mark the rhythm when she listened the town emergency siren. “Stop! Guys!” she yelled. Everybody held their breath. Then, she ran down the door and was about to push it open. But a burst of wind slammed the door right back, and it hit her hard. She fell down and couldn’t move. Emily who was the oldest kid shouted loudly. And she noticed immediately. It was a tornado.

우리 학교 오케스트라 Dream and Love가 음악실에서 연주 연습을 하고 있었고, Brown 선생님은 리듬을 표시하기 위해서 그녀의 발을 구르고 계셨었다. 그때 그녀는 시의 비상 사이렌을 들었다. “멈춰봐! 얘들아!” 그녀가 소리쳤다. 모두들 그들의 숨을 죽였다. 그리고 나서 그녀는 문으로 달려 내려갔고 막 문을 열려고 하였다. 그러나 갑작스러운 강한 바람이 문을 곧 바로 닫히게 하였고, 그 문은 그녀를 강하게 내리쳤다. 그녀는 쓰러졌고 움직일 수가 없었다. 가장 나이가 많았던 Emily가 크게 소리쳤다. 그리고 그녀는 즉시 알게 되었다. 그것은 토네이도 였다.

The members of orchestra were shocked to see Ms. Brwon fall down, puzzled what to do and they began crying and screaming. Sophia put her mouth next to Emily’s ear and yelled, “We have to ask for help!” Emily was scared too, but she tried to remove the fear. Emily pulled Sophia and rushed to the violin. She took out the whistle out of her bag and blew it hard three times. Every student on the stage turned to look at Emily. Soon, all kids were gathered around her.

오케스트라 대원들은 Brown 선생님이 쓰러지는 것을 보고 충격을 받았고, 무엇을 해야할지 당황했고 그리고 그들은 울면서 소리치기 시작했다. Sophia는 그녀의 입을 Emily의 귀에 대고 소리쳤다. “우리는 도움을 청해야 해.” Emily 또한 무서웠지만 그녀는 그 공포를 떨치려고 노력했다. Watching the students around her, Emily shouted as loudly as possible, “Peter and Jason, get Ms. Brown on that cart and roll her over here! Everybody, hold the music stands and take them next to the grand piano. Hurry!” They followed to her order uniformly. When all the students came back, Emily asked five of them to follow. They rushed to where the curtain hung along the wall of the stage. All were nervous.

Emily tried to grab the edge of the curtain and shouted, “Hey guys, hold tightly and pull harder!” When the curtain fell to the ground, they covered it over the tops of the music stands and the grand piano. Then, she acted the kids to get under the curtain. The wind sound rose again, but all the members of orchestra were now safely hidden inside the piano and curtain fort with Emily. Breathing a sigh of relief, they thanked one another and felt sense of unity in their hearts. Someone started shed tears silently.

Emily는 커튼의 끝을 잡으려고 노력하면서 소리쳤다. “얘들아, 꽉 잡아서 더 세게 당겨!” 그 커튼이 바닥으로 떨어졌을 때, 그들은 그것을 악보대와 그랜드피아노 위로 덮었다. 그리고 나서 그녀는 모든 아이들에게 커튼아래로 들어가라고 행동을 보였다. 바람 소리가 다시 거세어 졌지만, 하지만 Emily와 함께 오케스트라 단원 학생들 모두 에제 안전하게 피아노와 커튼 요새 안으로 숨었다. 그들은 모두 안도의 한숨을 내쉬며, 그들은 서로에게 감사했고 그들의 마음에 일체감을 느꼈다. 누군가 조용히 눈물을 흘리기 시작했다.
